Three years ago, my husband was thought to have CTS--so did his mom.
However, blood tests revealed a condition called Polymyalgia Rheumatica,
treatable with steroids. Mom has the same thing. Her doctors weren't even
going to do the test--said it isn't hereditary. We insisted. After one day
of medication, she was much better. You might check it out.
