    Hi everyone!
Just some thoughts to share about carpal tunnel, since it's under iscussion
here. I have found that the gel wrist rest (for keyboard) is the best (for
me). It is comforatble, doesn't wear out, and doesn't have a stiff edge on
it like some of the foam models. Pretty cheap too, 9.99-15.00. Also, I
too use the "smartglove" by IMAK, but I can only use it for my mousing
hand, hurts my other at keyboard...my left I use for mousing now, my right,
which is worse, hurts with the pressure of the "support Pillow" thats built
    in to the glove.
Also, general info: if it is truly carpal tunnel syndrome one suffers
from, it is not good to wear any kind of brace that has "elastic wrap" on
it, as many braces do. This actually puts pressure on the tissue at the
base of your hand (the widest part too) and pressure on your carpal tunnel
which you are trying to avoid! I was doing this at first, because it did
feel better with brace (for a while), and I really needed some support of
some kind. BUT DON"T DO IT! there are some non elasticized braces out
there, some are really bulky but plush and good for night-time, and they do
have some that allow much more freedom to wrist- better for work. My
doctor actually said that "bike gloves" are good. THe kind with gel in
them at the palm/base area, to absorb shock...all those little "shocks"
during the day add up. These are also very free moving, comfy and
inexpensive. I found a website that has some of these braces, worth
checking out. Ask your doctor, it may depend on your lifestyle/activites -
how practical/helpful they will be/which one for you.

Just thought I'd share what I have learned as a dual wrist CTS artist :-(
I ve had it for about 4 years...and I'm only 26! Oh well. Eventually it
will just push me to new frontiers...Ill just have to get really
experimental! :-) Always a silver lining!
