I found out this week that my 25-lb bag of flour has been "removed" from
the science lab (apparently we had a rodent over the summer). Anyway,
for my papier mache, I just substituted it and it's fine. It says on
the side of the box that 1T cornstarch equals 2T flour. So I just put
it in the blender with water, turn it on and blend, sprinkling more and
more until it won't spin freely anymore. Then after sitting awhile, it
get REALLY thick, so sometimes I add more water. It really gets hard,
more than I expected. If it seems too thin, I might add a splash of
liquid starch, or glue or Ross art paste (which I have, but I don't like
for papier mache).
