    Kincade's success is a reflection of the sad state of art appreciation in the
    general public due to lack of education IMHO. A sentimental rendering of a
    past that never existed is a success because of technical skill combined with
    wishful thinking and fantasy.
    Those cottages he paints in such detail were, on the inside, tiny, dark,
    dirty, insect ridden hovels, homes to poverty stricken farm labourers.
     But time paints too (Duchamp), and often glosses over the facts.
