Come now, Ann; aren't you setting up a 'straw man' as well as a false cause.
Most homosexuals do not "choose" this lifestyle, no more than heterosexuals
choose theirs. Given that, denial of their...orientation, and trying to
"fit into a 'normal' (heterosexual) lifestyle" can be even more damaging.
As regards Aids, I don't consider this their 'fault', especially if they
contracted it before it was 'discovered'. There is also a rise in
heterosexuals now contracting it (in Africa, it is rampant among all
populations); all of this is due, yes, to unsafe, promiscuous activities.
But it is not limited to the g/l population or their exclusive fault.
> What brought Rome down?
Are you claiming a single cause? But it wasn't; there were many causes.
Lead in their drinking water and wine containers; centralization of power
and over-extension of areas of control, and, yes, an eventual moral
degradation among the citizenry. They were like a poorly run
mega-corporation, with funds being sucked out at the top and not being
re-invested in infra-structure.
But to say that it was only because of low morals or immoral behavior would
be short-sighted and fallacious.
