Did any of you read several years ago the study of color effects on
people-- that the horrible institutional green, to which many of us were
subjected, causes feelings of anger? I requested and got a color change in
my art room years ago--it is a lovely, calming peach. Makes a difference.
My tables are named after continents (see another post) and the
students painted their own designs incororated within the large numbers I
sketched on the stools. The procedure--cover stool surfaces with gesso,
paint with acrylics(we used Chromacryl) and seal with water base
polyeurythene (sp?) gloss varnish. The images are holding up well after 5
years of constant abuse. It's the old knees:-) of the stools legs that are
falling apart!

Interestingly enough, I have noticed my "red" table attracts
|BOYS (3rd grade especially!) AND I have had some wilder behavior at it!
|Hmmm. Not hard to figure out!
