Wow! Another teacher who teaches hs crafts! I teach crafts exclusively ...5
periods @ day...3 advanced and 2 first year. There are also 3 other sections
of 1st year crafts at our school as well. Love to share any ideas etc. Re:
batik...it's a difficult one to teach, alot 'just don't seem to get it' So, I
keep it simple first time around. Try using tribal designs or even simple
shapes, or patterns...depends on what you're using for the resist and the
tools you have...brushes or tjanting tool. Keeping the wax hot enough is
important as well.
