    We have been doing these for almost 10 years. It was here in Louisville
    that one of the first work related shootings took place - Standard Gravure
    (sp)... big part of the Prozac controversy. We have code words and review
    them every year (actually had to use it a few years ago when a 3rd grader
    thought she saw a man with a gun in the hall - the only person she could
    have seen was a workman with a blow torch, but we were in our rooms while
    the school was searched.) we didn't have phones in our classrooms at the
    time - we do now. I can't remember if the kids know the codes or not -

    This year we just went to all outside doors locked - up until then anyone
    could have walked in...

    PS - I keep trying to get the school to have the required
    fire/tornado/disaster drills during a lunch period - that would be a real
    test!! But haven't yet.
