I don't think that you were offending anyone by your choice to use all lower
case letters. In fact, I think the thread might have started when I sent
out the 10 commandments of e-mail. When I opened my own message on the
listserv I laughed out loud that I had 2 mistakes in my own message. Anyone
who has postd a lot of messeges to the liste has probablie made countles
speeling mistakess and grammer errars (I did that on purpose by that waye).
The lower case caps DOESN'T bother me but sometimes all caps makes me think
that the writer is SHOUTING! Sorry to affect the statement you were making
about our insignificance in the universe. Tongue in cheek, Michelle

funny that this thread began about the lack of tolerance of others. i
began
using all lower case letters in high school. i was trying to make a
statement about our insignificance in the universe. (i was one of those
studen
ts) it has stayed with me all these years and has become my personal style.
naturally, i am prevented from making my "statement" in many areas of my
life. i generally know when and where and was under the impression that
using
all lower case is acceptable in email. i never believed i was being
offensive here in this forum.
