Another thought for your grafitti kid...
I just got a new student, very street smart, and much older than the rest of the
7th graders( you get the picture). We've been working on cityscapes where the
kids are designing 5 - 7 buildings for their cityscape. They have researched
various elements of architecture for their designs. He has really taken to this
assignment drawing HIS city the way he would like to see a city street. We are
adding colored pencil to the the final drawing. The students have a choice of a
few different colored pencil techiniques ( they love having choices). I really
wondered in the beginning if this assignment would work for him. But I guess you
never know, because he has one of the nicest scenes in the class.
