Technology in the middle school art classroom is extremely limited. Yet, I
believe my students are beginning to utilize it as a tool to create art and
not just from the informational and software capabilities posed by most
programs. ( I don't feel that it produces an awareness of the world
necessarily, in fact, it gives the student a jaded look at other schools and
students around the world who have only high econonmic wealth.....this is
readily confirmed by travels/and/or relatives who occupy different corners of
the world..)Using technology as a direct tool and having students become
inventive.....not just limitng them to software..the materials that can be
printed upon produce different dimensions....and can be created in both 2 and
3D aspects........getting out of the software box is difficult......anna
