For those of you interested in teaching art overseas, there will be a job
recruitment fair in San Francisco at the end of February and one in
Vancouver, Canada preceding that one.

To register, you must have your application on-line or submitted to the
International Schools Services: www.iss.edu. I have looked at the current
job opening list and there are several openings throughout the world for
arts educators, K-12.

There may be one or more art openings at our school next year, but our
C.E.O. is recruiting through the European Council for International Schools,
the ECIS in London, February 9-13, 2000. To register with ECIS, you can
download their forms on www.ecis.org. ECIS must receive your materials by
January 14 to attend the February fair. But there are other fairs later and
in other parts of the world that they sponsor. Details are on their webpage.

Both of these organizations fill most of the teaching jobs overseas. But
there is also a recruiting fair at the University of Northern Iowa in Ames,
Iowa in February and several through SEARCH Associates. SEARCH screens
applicants and decides who can be a candidate with them.
