The Kistler books and Video's are good- but are in no way appropriate to be
the only
source or method to teach drawing. Perhaps they would a interesting lesson
expander for cartooning methods, and taking 2-D to 3-D in a fun way. But it
couldn't
substitute for the learning process that takes place in observation and life
drawing practice and skills. You may learn formula but it will lack life and
spirit. I consider
those to be the two most important elements in a drawing-and that area was my
major with graphic arts/printmaking. I now teach 2nd through 12th.
