For the one week left in the semester when we get back, I plan to take it
easy and not start any huge messy projects. With my sixth graders, we will
continue our Careers in Art unit. This 2 day week we're watching the making
of "The grinch that stole Christmas" and drawing storyboards for animation.
When they get back I plan to do a 3 day Editorial Cartoon project and then
portfolio review (i.e. reflect a bit and take your work home).

My 7th and 8th grade pottery/sculpture students are still finishing up a
project we started a month ago for life-size plaster statues. As a group,
they've totally lost their motivation to finish it. But, I really hate to
scrap them after they (and me) have put so much hard work into it. The
finished sculptures will go the museum in the spring for an outreach program
with the Rodin show.

Looking forward to a new semester and a fresh start,
