WE have the dame problem due to coverage but When I announce a field trip, I
beg for parents (parents with strong voices!) Charge enough to pay for the
chaperones and give plenty of notice. I use plenty of guilt to ( learned
that trick from my mother, but, that's another post!) I send home a note
that outlines the benifits of the museum and that this is a perfect
opportunity to spend quality time with their child. I have had to turn
parents away. Just one solution.
My biggest problem is the sports coaches who bench the kids if they miss a
practice. But I'm getting better with "guilting " them too!
