Select a subject matter, such as birds. Students study them, then draw them
on a square of paper, then color with the fabric crayons.
Then each square is ironed on a square of white fabric. Students can then
embellish the images by outlining with a black permanent marker. Then the
squares are sewn together with a colored strip between the squares, finish
the edges, and hang on a rod in the room.
