I just discovered a wonderful book, "Pish, Posh. said Hieronymus Bosch"
from amazon.com A delightfully illustrated "story of a housekeeper driven
wild by the imagination of one of the most bizarre painters who ever
lived." Bosch, an artist from the Netherlands, 1450 to 1516, had a most
unusual style. "The odd creatures found in Bosch's sketches and paintings
were found when the author was working on her master's thesis in medieval
studies at Stanford." The sketches and illustrations in this book would be
appropriate for all ages and are definitely not "Garden of Earthly
Delights" varieties, one of Bosch's more
provocative masterpieces found in most art history books.
