This may sound odd...but, an O.M. (odyssey of the mind) team at my school
is working a complex project and (i will skip the details here) asked me if
They pour plaster of paris into a mold made of carved out balsa wood,
would the plaster and wood be seperable after it hardens. I dont have a
lot of experience with WOOD and plaster but Im guessing that the balso
wood, as is, would suck up a lot of water from the plaster and get soogy
and not work so well. Is there a good treatment (varnish, lube etc...)
that we should coat the balsa wood with to allow it be removable when done?
NAy ideas would be great. As soon as possible even better!
Thank you so much.
