I haven't read through all the mail tonight, but I'm getting the feeling
that my advice for interviews is being contested. That's fine, but the
jargon you use is not phony, if you know what you are talking about. The
district I currently work for is always reading current studies in
education. We are always offered workshops on cutting edge learning
theories, and we are expected to keep up to date. Therefore, they
appreciate when a teaching candidate knows "the words of the day." That is
where my response comes from. I agree, research of the district is
necessary, though, so you know what they want.
