I did it with a small class at a private art studio. I had a book with the
Eyptian alphabet transcribed into the english alphabet. The students did
their name on a clay slab and they turned out great. We used air dry clay
so we painted them with acrylic paint afterwards.
I had a book on the King Tut exhibit that I showed them and we talked about
what cartouches mean. There are numerous websites that you can get info
about heiroglyphics.
The students just inscribed their name with a pointed, round tool. You could
make a stand to put them on or leave a ,hole in the top so they can get hung.
