Re: favorite Christmas things

As I read everyone's responses about Christmas favorites, I am feeling out of
the loop....snow? fireplace, warm woolen mittens?

This is tropical So. Florida. We put christmas lights in palm trees, plastic
snowmen on our green lawn, Santa in a sled that doesn't go anywhere, and we
are never snuggly in sweaters and boots! WE wear shorts and tee-tops while
we sing "Frosty the Snowman". Many of our kids in school, have never
experienced snow!

When I came here 25 years ago from the Hudson Valley of NY ( Monroe) , it
looked kind of weird to me to see how everyone decorates for Christmas...
Now, I also decorate my palm trees with lights.

I miss the snow, fire in the fireplace, ...I still can't call this place
"home".
