We have a clean-up chart. Five good clean-ups and they get a something (gift
from nature, sticker, whatever extra stuff you might have).
Talking to kids before they come into class -- catching them doing good when
they do. Creating an environment where they are expected to be independent,
thoughtful and respectful.
If kids are outrageous, I send them out of the room -- it's a privilege to be
in the art room. I talk to the teacher for support -- I never use
"discipline reports" which is our school's thing or take their recess away.
