Jane-
Investigate and explore fusing various glass types which are
specifically manufactured for fusing, such as GNA, Bullseye, and
Dichloric. Various colored frits are also availabe for fusing.

You might also want to have fiberfrax paper on hand, as it is a good
surface to fuse on versus a kiln shelf.

The Corning Museum offers many summer workshops which you might want to
check into... an array of varied techniques, to take back to your
classroom.
