With regards to Indian Sand Painting, insteady of sand, which is hard and
expensive to get a hold of, I use White and Yellow cornmeal. I color it
using Rubbing Alchohol and food coloring, because it evaporates quickly, and
dries almost instantly. (This is how you dye pasta noodles also) If you dye
the cornmeal ahead of time, keep it in the freezer, as the little weevils
(flour worms) sometimes find their way into it.
