To Bluestruth:
We have interoffice email in my district (we each have a lap top) and I
regularly put out a post to all teachers explaining that the art
department has a BUDGET just like every other department, and our
supplies are ordered for our program to meet the needs of our students
and our curriculum. Please do not send your students down to the art
room for supplies. Poster board, drawing paper, markers, etc, can be
purchased cheaply at most local 5 & dimes or Kmart. The art room is not
the supply closet for the school. Contact the school secretary for
general office supplies. Most teachers are very understanding about
this once it is expressed. They just don't think about it. They only
respond to the immediate need. Good luck and I haven't made any ememies
yet. Who doesn't understand budgets?
