I teach 1-5, two schools, in Galesburg, IL, so we are neighbors (sort of!)
I know what you mean! Besides my files at home and school, I keep
examples of projects by grade and category in those big, plastic, lidded
containers you can get at K-mart, Target, or wherever and label them. They
come in a variety of sizes and they coordinate with my other files. You can
easily stack them and the work stays safe, too. Organize it to suit your
needs and curriculum. I can put my hands on whatever I need or want 99% of
the time. The regular files do get so big sometimes because, as we all do,
I'm adding prints, post cards, articles, etc. of various sizes other than 8
1/2" by 11" all the time.
Hope this helps!
