Are we forgetting that art (as we try to define--i.e.label-- it) is "2
dimensional"--in the creating and in the viewing? Perhaps we need to ask
"Is a work of art "complete" until someone reacts to it?" That concept
leads to some interesting thoughts on the ongoing evolvement of a created
piece--there are many examples of things we now call art that were not
labeled that at the time of their creation--is it art now, but not then? Or
another question--What is the relationship of the process, the work and the
label? Or does it have to be labeled to be art? Does calling it art make it

You know, it's really a miracle that we ever manage to communicate ideas and
concepts with mere words and labels......
