Angry Kids

It's important to acknowledge that many kids do not experience the
Christmas season as a fully joyful time. There may be negative experiences
associated with holiday time: the absent parent who does not visit,
abandonment issues, alcohol in the family issues, poverty issues. Hurt
often expresses it self sideways as anger, or there may be true rage that
reflects what this child is missing in his/her life. I certainly agree that
the pin incidence was not appropriate, but there's more going on with this
kid than meets the eye.
