Hello, I am amazed that at times adults behave in a manner that would not be
acceptable from our children. As for Robert....... you are entitled to your
opinion, but why did you have to down others in the process of making your
point. If you would like to see a new subject then by all means put your ideas
where the keyboard is and inspire us to discuss another topic. At any time
there are many active strings on this listserve and I personallly do not
respond to all of them, but I do not insult others who do. I really appreciate
hearing from many people and their diverse opinions, I also know that all of
the topics do not pertain to my level of teaching. For example I do not have a
kiln, but when I hit the "BUDGET LOTTERY" lol this is the first place that I
will turn to for advice.
On the subject of cancer.. as many of you know I am in remission from
leukemia, yes Robert the C word again rears its ugly head. I wish that this
word did not evter my head on an hourly basis, but alas it does. While in the
isolation ward preparing to undergo a bone marrow transplant, dealing with the
fact that I would be spending my second month in a very necessary germ-free
environment, I did resort to my talents to get me through it all. I found
myself asking the nurses for copy paper and scissors and made about a hundred
snowflakes to decorate the nurses station and the entire isolation ward. This
whole process kept my mind off the situation and also brought some beauty to
what can be a very depressing place. I made paper chains and other cut outs in
the mix and cheered up the people who were helping to keep me alive.
So to those who find the Cancer and art striing a little depressing, I hope
that Cancer never touches your life. And that you will allow the rest of us to
speak without fear of insult. Thank you for again reading my rantings. Keep up
the creating !!!!! Christine :)
