This reminded me of a cute story about my son. He was born in Orlando,
Florida and had never been in cold weather. We had planned a trip up
north for the holidays and got stranded in St. Louis because of a
terrible snow storm. Our coats were in our suitcases, which were on
their way to Oklahoma...so we were freezing as we waited for the taxi to
take us to a hotel. At one point, my three year old son looked at me
and said, "Mommy, will you buy me some of those socks for my hands?" I
looked around for someone with socks on their hands and realized he was
talking about their GLOVES. I smiled at him and said, "Yes, baby, I
will buy you some socks for your hands."
Judy...who now lives in Oklahoma where her son knows what gloves are
first (and second) hand.
