Amazing similarity

I just say, "Hey, this is a class, classes are for learning, that's why
you
are here!" I also remind EVERYONE that people who can draw are able to
do
so because they look, listen, study, think, and practice. Drawing is
not
just a "gift," people earn the ability to make art well.

I am just amazed that the words that you say to your students are the
same ones-or very similar- that I say to mine. I guess we are all
striving to achieve a goal and shouldn't be surprised when we become
aligned. To do something well one has to work at it. The more you
practice and try the better you will become. That "common ground" that
we are all treading is what I personally find so uplifting about this
site.
