Lori,

You have a good start, but look into more modern art to stimulate the
children to appreciate the art of our times. I presented Hard Edge Art, and
Frank Stella's chromatic art this semester and the students really took to it.
I showed overhead projector pictures of Kenneth Noland & Jack Youngerman that
I got copied at an office supply copier along with cut out pictures from a
Frank Stella book.
This month I'm presenting Picasso from his blue period to the cubist period.
I took slides on a ladder with a zoom lens last summer to cut costs of buying
the material, but it is worth it. They're not leaving elementary school
without knowing who are the modern masters.
Last year they thoroughly knew Van Gogh, and Matisse.
