Museums in the curriculum

I am a museum educator at a small liberal arts college art museum
and am interested in ways other art museums have integrated themselves
into the curricula of the schools in their communities.

Our focus program uses art as a point of departure for writing
assignments for middle schoolers in both expository and creative writing
genres. While students learn necessary writing skills they also learn
about the artistic process and common ground shared by visual and literary
artists.
