I don't know much about Yaqui culture, but in other situations/places, the
material the mask is made from is very important. So, maybe some questions
that get at the source of the mask might be interesting for the kids to
explore. My background is in the Northwest, and here the ecological
connections between mask and other dance objects are very strong. That is
also true on the northern plains, where, for example, a mask could retain
the living potentials of its source/the material it was made from.
