I am responding the the question How can technology be used to
conduct
inquiry about art and ecology? which appears in the Conversations about
Teaching Contemporary Art section of ArtsEdNet
(/education/teacherartexchange/resources/Ecology/conv.html). I
think
ArtsEdNet is a perfect example of how technology can be used in this
manner. At
the website, there are several examples of teaching curriculums, artwork,
links
and, of course, discussion panels addressing issues regarding art and
ecology.
If you are reading this, then you already know how the Internet and this
listserve are helping all of us communicate regarding art and ecology.
Technology has enabled us to get information and ideas to large groups of
people. More specifically, the Internet allows people to actively seek
specific
information. We can conduct inquiry about art and ecology by having areas
on
the Internet, like ArtsEdNet, where people can give and receive
information and
ideas.
