Curt, Cathy, Kim & Ashley--nice, thorough lesson plan on papermaking and
trees. Two small suggestions to push it being more "eco". Supply info or
have kids research how many trees went into making the newspaper (a typical
city Sunday edition uses an unbelievable number of trees). Secondly, do
you really need to iron the paper, using fossil fuel or nuclear energy,
when the next step is to wet it again? Is there a lower tech way to
accomplish this step? Or to time it so that it doesn't need to be done?
