Dear artsednet participants,

Many of you have emailed me, in response to my occassional
artsednet postings, asking about the California State Summer School for the
Arts. Actually, you usually ask, "What is a CSSSA?" I am pleased to
announce that our first, temporary web site is up, at http://www.csssa.org.
It will tell you what a CSSSA is, and more, although at this writing it is
primarily a text-only site.

In early January of the coming year, the full blown site will be
up, complete with rather dazzling animation and graphics created by San
Francisco-based designer Barbara Ziller, a student art gallery and other
goodies.

Check us out now, and bookmark the site for a repeat visit after
the New Year.

Best wishes for the holidays,

Robert M. Jaffe, Director
