>Hi. In our district we have a teacher's art show in the Spring. It is >called "Teaching By Example". It is hung in the school board room and >sometimes in the library. It gives us teachers something to work >towards each year and not become stagnant. It shows our students who >see it that we are artists and it shows the Board and Parents that their >teachers are also artists. There are always funny comments about the >artwork that is non-objective and abstract but often the commenters are >made to feel that they just don't understand art when they make the >comments. > It's good for the teachers.
That reminds me, my district wide school-site workshops are usually held in
cafeterias. The teachers' works are displayed on the cafeteria walls just
like the students are thoughout the year! The kids and the teachers both
get a kick out of it!
