I am a dance educator who recently finished my master of education degree at
Temple University. I am not really familiar with any texts specifically for
teaching directed at FAS & E victims, but regarding your question about using
the arts as a pathway for teaching other subjects more easily, you may want
to look at John Dewey's ART AS EXPERIENCE and Howard Gardner's UNSCHOOLED
MIND and THE THEORY OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES. While in school I wrote two
curricula, one for teaching history through movement and one for teaching
AIDS education through movement. The same can be done with all of the arts. I
hope this helps.
