Re: [teacherartexchange] info on Mac computer use

I have the only 2 macs in the district, both are on recall (which I
discovered when programs began quitting on me for no appearant reason. I
tried Mac support forums, asked on this list, nobody could help me. There is
nobody locally who works on Macs, and our tech guy is strictly PC. The
entire experience has been very frustrating, because I had to jump through
hoops to get my Macs in the first place. I use them strictly for video
editing with Final Cut Pro HD, burning DVDs via iDVD, and my stop-motion
animation software. If Mac doesn't fix the computers with the recall notice
I will have 2 worthless computers, which is a shame, because editing video
on a PC stinks!!! I am one of those dual users - I like my PC for some
things, Mac for others. BTW - I've had these Macs for 3 or 4 years now.

As for classes in technology, I teach a Digital Communications class which
covers Photoshop, video editing, & web design. I also incorporate technology
into my art curriculm. We are a very tiny school district.
