The top two of the fifty art works are both in Italy: #1: The Sistine
Chapel in Rome is a MUST SEE! It's the most incredible work by an artist I've
ever seen. The genius Michelangelo didn't consider himself a "painter"-ha! #2:
The David, in Florence. You can spend days just marveling at this
incredible sculpture. Keep in mind that Michelangelo didn't do any studies for that
one (and he was, I believe, 21 yrs. old when he sculpted it- or was he 23?, I
forget). Anyway, he simply took a huge stone and began carving!!!

Of the museums I've visited, here are the ones I think shouldn't be missed
in one's lifetime:
The Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC
The Louvre in Paris
The Tate in London
The Prado in Madrid
The Chicago Art Institute
The Boston Museum of Fine Arts
The Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice
The van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam
The Museum D'Orsey in Paris
The Picasso Museum in Paris
The Smithsonian in Washington, DC
The Museum of Modern Art, NYC

There are SO many wonderful museums, but these are my favorites. Does
anyone else have any suggestions for museums around the world, not-to-be-missed?
