Hi. My exams usually include small drawing sections. One requires that the student demonstrate the "generic styles" of objective accuracy, aesthetic order, emotion, and fantasy. (I lifted those from a wonderful reference book, which I cannot for the life of me recall)(anyone?) The other asks them to demonstrate what we call "illusionistic devices" (size, overlapping, linear perspective, aerial perspective, vertical placement, and open form.) The drawings are usually accompanied by a written explanation. J.
