I am working on value with K-4. The little kindergartens are doing so much
better than the older ones. This is my 2nd year on this grade level and I'm
pushing them as hard as I can. I showed them how mixing white and black made
shades of gray and that was as successful as making the value chart which takes
time we don't have. My first graders are understanding better than the 3rd
and 4th grader. I taught the this last year. They are not afraid to try and
there were only a few that filled in with all the same value. The older one
want to cover everything as dark as possible.
