I remember hearing about covering a pan with alum. foil (or use a foil pie
plate) and add water and fabric softener. Never tried it myself.

I also heard another tip about fabric softener on a home show. It's great
for removing wallpaper. "Score" the wallpaper and them wet the paper down
with fabric softener and sponge. Leave for 15 mins. and it should peel off.
