From what I have learned the 'skin' is supposed to represent his
feelings after the painting of the Chapel was completed. The Last
Judgement was the last panel he did. Michelangelo had a ton of problems
with this work and he felt like an empty shell when the job was
completed, drained, I guess. Now if I am wrong somebody please set me
straight.
