Yesterday I "discovered" Symbols.com (http://www.symbols.com).

From this site, you can download a trial version of the Symbols
Encyclopedia -- or you can try the online version (use the word or graphic
symbol tab online)

I just compared the trail download to online version for Swastika (since
that has been popular on the list. The trial download has more - and more
thorough) references. I think after some of my Christmas bills get paid
off, I will treat myself to the Symbols Pro package.
