I bought two books on lettering that are really nice.

A Book of Lettering, Design, and History
(By Margaret Shepherd) Macmillian

CELTIC ART-The methods of constuction
(By George Bain) Dover Publications

The second book I actually found at a yard sale of all places! I used
the Celtic examples in my drawing class I do at a private studio.
