Hi Bunki and List,

Yes, the license track is going to be different from the previous system
of certificates. For one, there will be no more permanent certificates.
Teachers will have to file more updated reports of their professional
development courses, etc, and have these reports linked to what is required
by the local district. I will find out more of the specifics when I get
back to school in January. Since I have had a permanent certificate for at
least 20 years, I haven't been paying too much attention to the stuff that
doesn't apply to me. One neat thing that our district will be using is a
Web based site for teachers to use to chart individual goals and license
requirements. This website is going to be up starting January 1. I will
check it out for you, too. To the State of Ohio's credit, this transfer has
been done with plenty of notice to the teachers, who were given opportunity
to upgrade certificates to permanent status.
