Hi Wayne,
You tape the back with masking tape so the acid doesn't eat it as well as
the front! Also, a little tip to check the progress of the acid; make a
sample piece and put it into the acid 30 minutes before the student work.
When the sample looks good, you will know that the kids' work needs to come
out of the acid in 30 minutes.
