Flex Wax Faces?

My 5th grade project is on hold until I can figure out the best way to do 75
10 year olds faces. Originally, I bought Flex Wax and tried it on one of the
kids. Well. it hardened before I could finish the face. Next, I began
wrapping each face in plastercraft. Then came that "delightful" thread about
the allergies to plastercraft (one kid ended up in the hospital), getting it
in eyes, etc.
So, here's the question, has anyone used Flex Wax for face casting? If so,
please share secrets to successful face casting with this medium.
